CCSÜMC Chorus Project

Ü is looking for chorus members that love to perform, make crafts (props and scenery), and dance in her award-winning opera, "Tiny Finds The Mightiest", based on her award-winning book, "The Strong, The Fast, And The Tiny". (available in the Discovery Center of the Southern Tier in Binghamton and Riverow Bookshop in Owego)

The rehearsals will be held in Centenary Chenango Street United Methodist Church on Fridays starting from Oct 2 (6PM - 7:30PM)

Performance 1 in the Discovery Center of the Southern Tier on Nov 14 (12PM call time / 1PM performance)

Performance 2 in Centenary Chenango Street United Methodist Church (2PM call time/ 3PM performance)

There may be an open rehearsal in the Discovery Center (Time TBD). Chorus members can request auditions to cover a main role if interested. A cover is expected to perform when the originally scheduled performer can't fulfil the performance for any reason.

Fee: $100 per participant

Suggested ages of the participants: 10 yo - 18 yo (Exceptions are possible. Please fill the form for discussions and evaluations)

Libretto Reading by an International Script Reading Group

"Tiny Finds The Mightiest" is based on the book, "The Strong, The Fast, And The Tiny" by Ü Lee. The book received a New York State Regrant through the ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes in 2025. Here's a video of Ü's book sharing event in Dec 2025.

The shorter presentation of this opera has been introduced to Tioga Hills Elementary School, Johnson City Hight School, and the Jewish Community Center.

A chamber orchestral version of the opera (in concert form: minimal staging and props, no sets) will be performed in the Taiwan Center in Flushing NY on Sept 27, 2026.
